During a meeting on November 5, 2008, the Hockey Alberta Board of Directors approved the following policy with regards to coaches wearing helmets. Effective immediately, it is mandatory that any coach, trainer, assistant coach, guest coach or volunteer who is on the ice or floor (inline hockey) at practice or a similar function must wear a CSA approved helmet with the chin strap of the helmet securely fastened. Beginning January 1, 2009 failure to comply with this policy will result in that individual being indefinitely suspended. You also need to complete one of these forms yourselves. The sooner this is done, the sooner rosters and team info can be uploaded to the website.
